Pastor Jon has been in pastoral ministry for 27 years. He holds a Master's Degree in Church Music from Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon; and a Master of Divinity Degree from Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California.
Pastor Jon is passionate about transcendent worship, making disciples and biblical preaching. He loves his flock. Pastor Jon is a singer and jazz lover. He is married to LeLani and together they have a precious daughter named Kiana.

After serving in other churches for the past 47 years, retired Pastor, Don Slaven, has joined our staff as Minister to Seniors. He is married to Wanda (our Women's Director) and they moved to Southern California after his retirement to be close to their children and grandchildren. |
Wanda Slaven comes to us with over 45 years of experience as a Pastor's wife, and Bible Study Leader. She is a mother of 4, grandmother of 9, and great grandma of 2. She has a passion for her Lord, and a deep desire to serve him through women's ministries. We welcome Ryan Murphey as our new Youth Director. Ryan will be leading our Youth Group, which includes both Junior and Senior High. Ryan recently graduated from California Baptist University where he earned the honor of being on the Dean's List in both 2009 and 2010 Ryan comes highly recommended, having spent a good amount of time helping to lead youth, both individually and in small groups, at his previous church and also at Thousand Pines Camp in Crestline. He is dedicated to discipling and teaching young people to become authentic followers of Jesus Christ. Ryan is ready to pray for and lead all the young people who attend the various LOCC Youth events, and has already spent a lot of time getting to know each individual, working to build lasting relationships. Wanda's goals for Women's Ministries at LOCC is to come along side the women and design programs that will meet their spiritual and social needs, creating a desire in each one to become a woman of faith and maturity.
Several events each year help us to reach this goal. We offer Women's Bible Studies in the Spring and in the Fall. In addition we look forward to the Tea Parties/Brunches, Craft Days, and Mini Retreats that will be held throughout the year.

Every Sunday morning at 9:30 a.m. Amp'd meets to pray for one another, study God's Word and apply them to our lives.
On the 1st and 3rd Friday of every month, the Youth gather together for LiveWire (Video Game Night) to hang out, have fun, and hear what God has to say about life.
